What inspired you to pursue a career in healing and harmonizing the human body, particularly in the wake of your personal journey with breast cancer?

When I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012, there were many serendipitous moments that occurred along the way. One of them involved my friends and family. My friends, with whom I was staying at the time, were focused on rejuvenating their own health through juicing, better eating habits, and they had several enlightening books in their home that I read. These books opened my eyes to the idea that we have more control over our healing than we've been led to believe. Because of this newfound information, coupled with the serendipitous events that occurred, a light bulb went off in my mind, and I became an eager learner and reader.

What I came to realize was that I had as much control over my health as I desired. I wanted to share this revelation with the world. Even during the darkest days of my treatments, which included chemotherapy and targeted therapies, I remained committed to conventional therapy. Throughout this journey, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact of what I fed my soul, both mentally and physically, on my recovery.

I made a vow to myself that for as long as I remained on this earth, I would share this information with others. My hope was that if I could help just one person, I would have fulfilled my purpose in life. This commitment led me on a voracious journey of spreading awareness. I have certainly helped more than one person, which continues to inspire me.

It is my belief that everyone should have access to health and wellness in order to achieve wholeness and vitality.

In what ways do you believe we can empower individuals to take greater control over their health and well-being?

I always aim to inspire people with the word 'hope', you know? No matter what, if you're lifting your head off the pillow in the morning, there's hope, right? I firmly believe that there's never a situation from which you can't recover. Along my journey, I've come across many books, one of which was "Dying to Be Me" by Anita Moorjani. Her story is profoundly impactful and was life-changing for me. She had a near-death experience while battling cancer, and upon returning from it, her cancer had completely disappeared within a month. This realization was another serendipitous moment along my path, where it struck me that we have more control over our healing than we've been led to believe, and that we can overcome anything.

The feeling of hope and the realization that I had control over my circumstances inspired me deeply. I feel compelled to inspire others with the same message: there's always hope.

What strategies or techniques do you employ to create a personalized healing plan for each of your clients?

I am a German New Medicine Facilitator, so I focus on identifying the root cause and what we call the brain relay connections from our brain to our organs. I examine how trauma occurs unexpectedly in our lives, how we interpret it, and how it can manifest as disease. Additionally, I utilize Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a trauma-based technique that helps downregulate the central nervous system by tapping on acupressure points to calm it down. This technique assists in mitigating stress, which I consider a significant, if not the main, factor in disease, particularly in cancer recurrence.

When I meet with clients, my primary goal is to assess them nutritionally, identifying any deficiencies and evaluating their detoxification pathways to ensure optimal function. I provide support through the use of vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements tailored to their needs and body type. I also examine their sleep patterns and stress management techniques. However, I prioritize addressing the emotional aspects of health. I aim to eliminate lingering childhood experiences that may affect mental well-being, utilizing tapping as a method to interrupt negative thought patterns. I firmly believe that by healing the mind, we can heal the body.

How do you approach setbacks and obstacles in the healing process, both for yourself and for those you work with?

In this day and age, we are inundated with toxins. Our food lacks the minerals and nutrients it once had. Studies show that compared to 30-50 years ago, today's food and fruit contain only a fraction of their previous nutritional content. Therefore, I believe that in today's environment, characterized by the toxins that surround us, we will inevitably face challenges.

My consistent and constant goal is to stay ahead of these challenges by examining ways to support the body. Despite obstacles, such as stressors and traumas, I am committed to learning and expanding my knowledge. I draw from various sources, including clinical studies, PubMed data, and the experiences of other practitioners. Even after facing health setbacks, including battling breast cancer, I firmly believe that we are our own best healers. We possess a deep understanding of our bodies and what we need.

I live by the mantra that a great comeback follows every setback. Recently, I faced health challenges that perplexed multiple doctors. Undeterred, I delved deeper into research until I found answers. With the abundance of resources available today, including the internet and access to education, there is no excuse for anyone not to take control of their health.

What role do you believe mindset and emotional well-being play in the healing process, and how do you address these aspects in your practice?

In my opinion, it's everything. I've worked in a clinical setting for almost 10 years, and I've observed that while changing someone's diet or providing supplements can be beneficial, addressing what's happening mentally is crucial. No matter what, stress has a profound impact on the body. The release of cortisol, epinephrine, adrenaline and noradrenaline is essential in stressful situations, but when we're constantly in that state, it becomes detrimental. We're bombarded with stimuli from social media, news, and the stresses of daily life. If we don't find ways to manage these stressors, it affects our body's ability to function properly. High levels of cortisol, for example, can disrupt the functioning of the adrenals, thyroid, and sex hormones, leading to a cascade of health issues. Therefore, I believe that addressing the mental, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of health is paramount.

As for how I address this, I am not only a habit coach but also utilize reframing tools, tapping, and visualization techniques in my practice. These are the primary tools I use to help clients mitigate stress and improve their overall well-being.
