Your personal health struggles, including cancer and Hashimoto’s, have shaped your mission. How did these experiences influence your approach to health and wellness, and what was the turning point that led you to focus on educating others? 

My journey with health and wellness began unexpectedly during my teenage years on trips with my mother to Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. Although initially reluctant, those early experiences laid the groundwork for my holistic approach to health. The turning point came when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 32, a wake-up call that my “successful” lifestyle was unsustainable. Faced with the prospect of chemotherapy and radiation, I chose a different path, guided by holistic principles, a supportive doctor, and a small dose of radiation. This approach not only helped me overcome cancer but also led me to discover that I had Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and Celiac disease. By focusing on both physical nutrition and emotional well-being, I healed and felt compelled to share my journey and knowledge with others. This led to my commitment to educating and helping others lead healthier, happier lives through nutrition and holistic practices.

You emphasize the importance of mindful living. Can you share some practical tips on how individuals can incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines, particularly when it comes to eating and self-care?

Mindful living is about being present and fully engaged in each moment. For eating, I advise my clients to slow down and savor each bite, paying attention to flavors, textures, and their body’s hunger and satiety signals. This not only enhances the eating experience but also promotes better digestion! For self-care, start with simple practices like setting aside a few minutes each day for deep breathing exercises, meditation, journaling, or a walk outside. I also recommend

introducing a daily mantra to remind yourself that you are loved, safe, and confident. These small acts can help reduce stress and increase overall well-being. Incorporating rituals, such as a relaxing bedtime routine or a weekly digital detox, can also make a significant difference in how we feel and function daily.

"We are a product of what we eat and how we treat ourselves." How do you translate this philosophy into actionable advice for your clients? What are the core principles you advocate for in terms of nutrition? 

This philosophy is at the heart of my practice. I advocate for a diet rich in whole, organic foods, emphasizing plant-based options and superfoods. I do not believe in starvation or deprivation! My main principles include:

• Nourishment: Prioritize nutrient-dense foods that fuel your body and support optimal health. 

• Balance: Ensure a balance of macronutrients (proteins, fats, and carbohydrates) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). 

• Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated and support digestion and overall health. 

• Mindful Eating: Pay attention to what, when, and how you eat, fostering a healthy relationship with food.

In your experience, how important is it to address mental and emotional well-being alongside physical health? 

Addressing mental and emotional well-being is crucial for holistic health. My own healing journey taught me that chronic stress, past trauma, and negative emotions can significantly impact physical health. Therefore, I emphasize the importance of practices like talk therapy, yoga, reiki, and energy healing. To take it a step further, I recommend looking into plant medicine, which completely transformed my life and my subconscious thought loops. These modalities help manage stress, release emotional blockages, and promote overall well-being. By addressing both the mind and body, my clients experience more comprehensive and lasting health improvements. 

Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future of your practice and the broader health and wellness community? 

My goals for the future include expanding the reach of my health and wellness programs to support more people around the world. I aim to continue developing cleansing programs and nutritious products that promote holistic health and allow people to feel their very best without sacrificing on quality or taste!
