In March 2022, I opened Cinful Sweets in Austin, where my team and I set out to innovate and create outstanding chocolate experiences that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every member of our team should feel valued and empowered from day one. Unlike my previous experiences in the hotel industry, where hierarchy overshadowed creativity, Cinful Sweets fosters a collaborative environment where every idea is welcomed, allowing our staff to thrive and contribute to our shared vision.
As a passionate pastry chef, my journey has been driven by the desire to bring joy through creative and unique desserts. Each sweet treat is crafted from scratch, allowing for experimentation with flavors and the perfecting of recipes. This process is not only satisfying but also serves as a centerpiece for celebration in our community.
The Dubai Bar came from my customers calling me with a desire to try the viral chocolate bar. I investigated it and saw that every ingredient was coming from a bottle that was then mixed. I got inspired to make every ingredient from scratch so that I can feel that love and passion behind creating it. For example, we make our own tahini and pistachio praline, which are key flavors for a Dubai Bar. For the look of it I used the flag colors of Dubai and thus our bar was created.
For the Wonka Bar I knew I wanted to create something that was layer upon layer of flavors. Watching the preview of the movie and seeing all the vivid colors lead me to the color Amethyst. I did not have any cherry flavors in my repertoire, so my thoughts lead me to use luxardo cherries. Now I must think like a kid after that. What do kids love and go after. They love caramel and marshmallows, and picky kids love vanilla. I created a luxardo cherry caramel, with Vanilla Bean Marshmallows with Vanilla and Milk chocolate cookie. Now we can’t stop making them! People love it when we have them in stock. The joy in their faces motivates us to keep making them. They are a staple of Cinful Sweets.
This is a great question. As the demand for transparency grows, businesses are finding that adopting ethical sourcing practices is not only morally right but also commercially beneficial. It's about transforming the entire supply chain to reflect values of integrity and respect.
As a woman who has been in business for 3 years, being a part of 3 major publications in such a short amount of time changes the narrative. You don’t have to be a celebrity to achieve this level of greatness. You must believe that your work will stand out on its own, that people will take notice of the love and passion you have in what you do, and they will taste it in your food. The celebrity part comes last. It all starts in the kitchen being focused on creating.
At Cinful Sweets, we believe dessert is more than a sweet treat—it’s a shared experience that brings people together. Our mission is to build stronger communities through chocolate. We do this by offering hands-on chocolate-making classes and workshops in Austin that inspire creativity, connection, and confidence.
This surge in consumer consciousness has propelled the concept of ethical sourcing in the global food system into the spotlight, urging companies to reevaluate their supply chains. For me it’s about the commitment to create confections and desserts that are respectful to people and to the planet. This high quality is reflected in the end products, which are healthier, tastier, and more appealing to consumers.
As we grow, we have also introduced chocolate workshops that provide an incredible opportunity for corporate team building. These classes transform serious workdays into sweet experiences, enabling participants to gain valuable life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. The joy of seeing their creations come to life fosters personal empowerment that extends far beyond the kitchen.
Our community-based chocolate classes serve as a catalyst for forging connections among individuals—professionals, neighbors, and friends alike. Participants not only learn the art of chocolate-making but also share cultural traditions and create a sense of belonging that enriches the broader community.
At Cinful Sweets, we are dedicated to empowering communities through chocolate education. Join us in crafting a sweeter, more connected future—one delicious bite at a time.
