10 Best Factor Meals in 2026: Expert Ranked

8 Best Meal Delivery for Mediterranean Diets in 2026

Finding a meal delivery service that supports a Mediterranean diet isn’t easy. While there’s no shortage of meal kits and prepared meals on the market, very few offer a dedicated Mediterranean plan. Or, you’ll find Americanized versions of Italian, Spanish, and Greek dishes that don’t quite follow the ethos of the Mediterranean diet, which can limit the health benefits.

My team and I spent hours researching and testing this year’s top contenders to find options that prioritize the heart of Mediterranean eating: whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, beans, nuts, and other nutrient-dense ingredients. Every single one of the companies on this shortlist has been tested at home by our team.

At the top of my list is Green Chef, thanks to its rare, fully dedicated Mediterranean plan and high-quality, premium ingredients. This is a feature you won’t find with most mainstream meal delivery services. Its rotating weekly menu includes a mix of meat, fish, and vegetarian meal kits that all align with Mediterranean diet principles.

Green Chef is my personal top choice, but it may not be the perfect fit for everyone, as it mainly offers meal kits, and it might not suit really picky eaters. That’s why I’ve included a range of top-performing alternatives — from single-serve microwave meals for convenience seekers to family-friendly kits designed for busy households. Keep reading to discover the best meal delivery services for Mediterranean dieters.

TL;DR? Here Are the Best Meal Delivery Services for Mediterranean Diets 2026

  1. Green Chef – Best dedicated Mediterranean plan
  2. HelloFresh – Best Mediterranean-inspired meals for families
  3. Factor – Best for prepared meals with Mediterranean flavors
  4. Home Chef – Best for customization
  5. BistroMD – Best Mediterranean weight loss meals

The Best Mediterranean Diet Meal Delivery Services Reviewed

1. Green Chef – Best Dedicated Mediterranean Plan

Green Chef's Mediterranean Shrimp & Sun-dried Tomatoes

Key Features

Green Chef offers a Mediterranean diet preference when you sign up, and it’s one of the only mainstream meal kit services that has a Mediterranean plan like this, which makes finding the right dishes really easy. Each week, there’s a decent selection of Mediterranean dishes focused on whole grains, lean proteins, fresh vegetables, and healthy fats like olive oil.

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

With Green Chef, you can pick Mediterranean meals directly from the rotating weekly menu, and you’ll get pre-portioned ingredients for recipes tailored to this diet. You’ll also be able to cater to other preferences that overlap, as there are seafood, lean poultry, and vegetarian dishes, and gluten-free, low-carb, and high-protein choices, too.

Mediterranean meals usually feature vibrant veggies, whole grains, legumes, and healthy fats. For instance, you might find meals like Creamy Mushroom Truffle Linguine (pictured below), Mediterranean Veggie & Couscous Bowls with roasted chickpeas and feta, or Mediterranean Chicken with Olive Tapenade and kale salad. Find out how we got on when we gave Green Chef a go at home.

There are plenty of add-ons to choose from that can also fit a healthy diet. Look out for breakfast options like the Red Pepper and Swiss Egg White Bites, Banana Nut Muffins, and a selection of flavored oatmeals, plus additional proteins like salmon, barramundi, and chicken.

Green Chef meals feature top-quality produce
Green Chef meals feature top-quality produce

What Makes It Special?

Green Chef stands out as the first meal kit service to receive CCOF organic certification. It also features USDA-certified organic produce. Green Chef partners with farmers for sustainable, flavorful food, sourcing ingredients from family-owned farms. This matches up well with the Mediterranean diet’s focus on fresh, healthy produce.

Most of the meal kits take around 30 minutes to cook. The sauces and marinades arrive ready to use, and some of the veggies are chopped to make prep easier.  While Green Chef is suitable for beginners, it may not be best for those who want a really quick dinner (less than 15 mins), or those who aren’t that interested in home-cooking.

The service also offers free nutrition coaching sessions. During these 20-minute sessions, you'll get advice from a registered dietitian. Nutritionists specialize in various areas, so you can choose a person who understands the Mediterranean diet.

Author tip: You can now also book follow-up appointments with Green Chef’s dietitians, which are also free. This is useful to review any goals associated with your Mediterranean diet and to decide if you need to change anything about your Green Chef plan.

Is It Good Value?

What separates Green Chef from its cheaper counterparts is certified organic produce and eggs. While it may not be the best service for those on a tight budget, if you prefer to prioritize organic ingredients and premium proteins, it could be worth the cost.

For your first box, the minimum order is 3 meals for 2 people per week, but you can get as many as 4 meals for 6. Prices start at $6.50 per serving, with a new customer discount.

2. HelloFresh – Best Mediterranean-Inspired Meals for Families

Lemon-Rosemary Chicken Cutlets with Parmesan Couscous & Heirloom Grape Tomatoes from HelloFresh

Key Features

One of the things that makes HelloFresh so appealing is its vast choice compared to many other meal delivery services. It offers one of the largest weekly menus out there.

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

HelloFresh’s range of Mediterranean-inspired seafood and veggie options particularly stands out, although it caters well to omnivores as well as pescatarians and veggies. Whatever preferences you select during the sign-up quiz, you’ll always have access to the full menu.

The Mediterranean tag is particularly useful to signpost dishes. The last time I checked the menu, these highlighted recipes including Oregano Chicken with Couscous-Feta Salad, Garlicky Shrimp Couscous Bowls, and the Super-Quick Mediterranean Chicken Salad with Feta.

There are plenty of family-friendly options with crowd-pleasing dishes that kids love. You can also customize some recipes, which can help make them more Mediterranean-friendly. There’s a lot more to HelloFresh than I can cover here, so find out more in our tested review.

What Makes It Special?

HelloFresh is a service that places a strong focus on sustainability and promises only high-quality produce and proteins – though it offers few organic options (for organic, you’ll be better off with Green Chef). It also offers a large selection of seasonal produce in its recipes, which is important for veg-forward diets like Mediterranean.

As well as the main menu of weekly choices, you can find many recipes in the on-site Cookbook. Under World Cuisines, you’ll find Mediterranean recipes. You can also browse by dish type, where you can find pasta and healthy bowl recipes. You don’t even need to sign up for HelloFresh to access these.

Author note: HelloFresh recently increased its number of seafood offerings within the core menu. Many other services charge you extra to upgrade to high-quality proteins like seafood, but with HelloFresh, you can often get these at no extra cost.

Is It Good Value?

The minimum order is 2 recipes for 2 people per week, but you can order as many as 6 recipes for up to 6 – another reason why HelloFresh is so great for families. Pricing is reasonable, especially with larger orders that reduce the per-serving cost.

3. Factor – Best for Prepared Meals With Mediterranean Flavors

Factor's Tuscan Shrimp with Creamy Kale & Zucchini-Pepper-Onion Medley

Key Features

  • High-quality, non-GMO ingredients

  • Track your meals on MyFitnessPal, Carb Manager, and others

  • Other dietary options include low-calorie, keto, and high-protein

  • Current deal: Up to $130 off + Free Breakfast for 1 Year

Factor’s dietitian-designed prepared meals are made for busy, active lifestyles. All its meals are single-serving and ready-made, which means no prep, cooking, or cleanup. If you ask me, it doesn’t get much easier than that!

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

The large menu changes each week, with filters for keto, spicy, low-carb, vegan, dairy-free, and other requirements. It covers a wide range of global cuisines and diets, including Mediterranean options. You can find out more about what to expect in our tested Factor review.

Factor offers some great add-ons, tooincluding cold-pressed juices and smoothies, high-protein breakfasts, salads, and keto-friendly sweet treats. You can also pick up extra portions of Mediterranean-friendly proteins, including Parmesan Garlic Chicken Wings and Pan-Seared Salmon.

Check out the labels while exploring the menu to find the right choices. Look for markers such as Keto, Calorie-Smart, High Protein, and Vegetarian, as these are most likely to suit a Mediterranean diet.

Factor’s meals are great for on the go

What Makes It Special?

You’ll get a free 20-minute online consultation with an in-house nutrition coach when you sign up. And there are further nutrition coaching packages available if you feel like you need extra support with your diet. This is great if you’re new to the Mediterranean diet and need help starting.

There’s usually a good range of plant-based, veggie, and non-veggie dishes. These include a varied mix of meat and fish to complement a Mediterranean lifestyle.

The service ships fresh meals, which sets it apart from many other services specializing in ready-to-eat food. And the shelf life is pretty good, up to 7 days from delivery, which is another point in Factor’s favor. So, you’re covered until the next shipment.

Is It Good Value?

Factor is among the pricier meal delivery services out there. Prepared meals tend to be more expensive than meal kits in general, but Factor makes it worth it with quality, sustainable produce and proteins.

You can order between 4 and 36 meals per week, plus add-ons, making Factor a great choice for anyone who wants to stock up the fridge or freezer with healthy, ready-to-heat dishes.

4. Home Chef – Best for Customization

Home Chef's Mediterranean Skillet with Turkey, Zucchini, and Feta

Key Features

  • Wide range of low-prep meals

  • Swap, upgrade, or double-up on the protein

  • More than 40 dishes to choose from each week

Many of Home Chef’s recipes are well-suited to the Mediterranean diet. This is a service that regularly scores high in our rankings – and you’ll see why in our tested Home Chef review.

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

At Home Chef, you'll find around 40 meals on the menu. While browsing, you'll discover Meal Kits, Express, Oven-Ready, Lunch, Bundle & Save, and Extras meal categories. For quick meal options, focus on Express, Lunch, and Bundle & Save.

Various meals feature the term Mediterranean in their titles to make them easier to spot. You can also filter for recipes that fall under vegetarian, calorie- and carb-conscious categories.

Home Chef offers a great selection of add-ons, too. As well as being able to pick up extra protein (some of which is available in bulk – great for families and barbecues!), you can add ready-to-bake desserts, low-effort Mediterranean-style salads, bread, breakfasts, and more.

Home Chef’s Trout with Panko & Bacon with Green Beans & Roasted Potatoes
Many Home Chef dishes are low in calories

What Makes It Special?

The Customize-It feature lets you make many of the meals Mediterranean-friendly. If you want to cut back on your red meat intake, for example, swap the sirloin in your dish for salmon.

Love risotto but don’t care for tuna? Order your Ahi Tuna Toscana and Creamy Parmesan Farro Risotto with antibiotic-free chicken instead.

When you sign up, you can also select from a limited list of ingredients you want to avoid. These are beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and mushrooms.

Is It Good Value?

A subscription to Home Chef is well worth considering. With its extensive meal selection and robust customization options, you can choose or customize meals to suit your needs and Mediterranean preferences.

The minimum order is 2 recipes for 2 people per week, with the option to order a maximum of 6 recipes for 6 people. Pricing starts at around $4.99 per serving. But note that this is just an estimate, and customizations and add-ons will change the total of your final order.

5. BistroMD – Best Mediterranean Weight Loss Meals

BistroMD's Tilapia with Orange Parsley Sauce

Key Features

  • Doctor-designed, chef-prepared meals

  • No MSG, aspartame, or trans fats

  • More than 150 dishes on a rotating 6-week menu

BistroMD’s prepared meals are great for weight loss or managing health issues. Every subscription includes support from the service’s in-house dietitians, and flexible programs let dieters choose how many meals they’ll have daily.

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

All the meals are prepared, so you don’t have to worry about weighing your food, counting calories, or tracking anything via food apps. Having your daily food intake delivered to your door with zero prep or cleanup required is what appeals to many about BistroMD’s service.

With dishes such as Italian-Style Omelet, Chicken-Spinach Meatloaf with Tomato Glaze, and Fisherman’s Seafood Stew, there are plenty of Mediterranean-style dishes. You can get a more in-depth look at the menu in our tested review

The flash-frozen, calorie-controlled dishes are a simple way to take control of your food intake. There’s even the option to add EATS (essential and tasty snacks) to your plan, so you can enjoy some indulgent nibbles without derailing your goals.

BistroMD’s Barramundi Seabass with Sweet Coconut Pineapple Sauce
BistroMD has a range of heart-healthy dishes

What Makes It Special?

The programs are varied, with tailored options for women and men. The Heart Healthy plan is well aligned with the Mediterranean diet, with all the dishes on this menu promising to be within the recommended AHA guidelines for calories, sodium, and saturated fat.

Choosing the full 7-day plan provides you with 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 6 dinners. The additional dinner, known as My Night, lets you enjoy any meal of your choice without guilt.

Is It Good Value?

The minimum order here is lunch and dinner for 5 days, but you can order meals in a few other combinations. For instance, you can get lunch and dinner for 7 days or commit to the Full Plan which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 7 days. If you go for the maximum order, you’re looking at a price of $5.50 per serving.

6. Marley Spoon – Best for Variety

Marley Spoon's One-Pot Mediterranean Chicken with Toasted Feta Garlic Bread

Key Features

  • Easy-to-cook meal kits and prepared meals

  • Family friendly and affordable

  • Other dietary options include vegetarian, vegan, and more

Marley Spoon is a solid option for Mediterranean dieters, particularly those with young families. The menu is packed with fresh, seasonal produce, top-quality meat, and seafood. And it offers hearty portion sizes with tons of variety. And when we tested some of the dishes, they proved easier to put together than expected.

What’s on the Menu That’s Mediterranean?

The menu is divided between meal kits and prepared meals that are ready to heat and eat. There are also categories for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to aid in navigation. Between these various options, there are 100+ dishes on the menu to check out.

There’s a filter on the menu for Mediterranean dishes. Marley Spoon also caters particularly well to various dietary accommodations beyond Mediterranean dishes, offering many meals that are low sodium, gluten-free friendly, dairy-free, and veggie.

You can round out your weekly order with a selection of items from the grocery section. This add-on menu includes individually-priced items like black bean burgers, wellness shots, nut mixes, and an array of other proteins, drinks, and snacks.

What Makes It Special?

Look for recipes marked with the Customizable tag to personalize ingredients. For instance, with the Cajun-Spiced Shrimp dish, you can replace shrimp with ready-to-heat chicken or wild-caught shrimp. Note that substitutions may incur a surcharge.

Marley Spoon isn’t only sustainable in terms of its environmental ethos (it was the first meal delivery service to go carbon neutral) – but its pricing makes sticking with this service sustainable, too.

Is It Good Value?

For meal kits, the minimum order is 2 meals for 2 people per week, up to a maximum of 6 meals for 4. For prepared meals, the minimum order is 6 single-serving meals. You can expect prices to start at $4.99 per serving for the maximum weekly order.

7. Purple Carrot – Best Vegan Meal Delivery for Mediterranean Diets

Mediterranean Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Chickpeas & Cashew Cheese from Purple Carrot

Key Features

  • Prepared meals and meal kits

  • Add breakfast, lunch, snacks, and more

  • Other dietary options include soy-free, gluten-free, and high-protein

Is It Good Value?

You won’t find commercial meat substitutes or other highly processed items on the menu, which sets Purple Carrot apart from some other vegan services. The vegetables really are the stars of the show here! You’re sure to find new Mediterranean recipes and other healthful food combinations.

8. Blue Apron – Best Gourmet Service for the Mediterranean Diet

Blue Apron’s Customize It feature means you’re not locked into heavy or meat-heavy dishes. For example, you can often swap out richer proteins for fish or seafood, or choose lighter ingredients. Find out more in our tested review.

That flexibility essentially allows Blue Apron to adapt to Mediterranean dietary values – even though it isn’t a strictly Mediterranean-only service.

Is It Good Value?

If you want a Mediterranean-style meal plan without committing to an expensive specialist service, Blue Apron offers good value. Because you pick only the meals you want, you can avoid paying for heavy dishes that don’t fit the Mediterranean style, making your spend more efficient.

Tips for Choosing the Best Mediterranean Meal Delivery Services

Here are some things to look out for when you’re shopping around for a Mediterranean diet-friendly meal delivery service:

  • Check the ingredients: Contrary to popular belief, the Mediterranean diet isn’t very restrictive. However, if you want to reap the benefits of this style of eating, there are a few ingredients to look for, such as fruits, colorful veggies, fish, lean meats such as chicken, whole grains, beans, nuts, and other healthy fats like avocados.
  • Check it’s within your budget: It goes without saying that your meal delivery service needs to be affordable for you, however, note that the Mediterranean diet does focus hugely on quality ingredients – such as extra virgin olive oil – that may cost a little more. Services such as Green Chef are pricier because it focuses on organic ingredients, too.
  • Think about your skills and schedule: If you take pleasure in preparing meals (or desire to acquire the skill), you may prefer a service offering meal kits as opposed to pre-made meals. If you frequently find yourself short on time and in need of a speedy meal, prepared dishes, such as those from Factor, that can be easily reheated in the microwave might be more suitable for you.
  • Don't fear change: You might test out a few services before finding the perfect one. Luckily, all the services on my list offer simple cancellation methods.

✂️ Companies We Tested That Didn’t Make the Cut

Here are a few popular brands that we tested, but that we didn’t think were suitable for the Mediterranean diet, and why:

  • Dinnerly: Our reviewer loved Dinnerly as a budget service, and found it great value for families, but despite its large menu, it doesn’t have a huge number of dishes that suit a Mediterranean diet. You can still find some tasty Italian flavors, though (like the Italian Beef & Rice Stuffed Peppers with Marinara & Parm), so it might be worth checking out if you’re on a tight budget and are looking more for Mediterranean flavor as opposed to a Mediterranean diet for health reasons.

  • Eat Clean: Eat Clean covers a lot of niche health menus, but not the Mediterranean diet. Although it does have a few Mediterranean adjacent dishes like Signature Ground Turkey Italian Bolognese, Italian Creamy Chicken with Spaghetti Squash, and Vegetarian Paella, these dishes felt pretty Americanized. On a practical level, our reviewer had an issue cancelling their plan after ordering from Eat Clean, and ended up having to block the payment via their credit card.

  • Trifecta: Trifecta doesn’t have a dedicated Mediterranean plan, although some of its dishes could align with the principles of the diet, like the Mediterranean Chicken. It didn’t make our list because our reviewer had a mixed experience with the dishes they tried, and the single-serving meals can get pretty expensive (around $16 per single-serve meal).

Benefits of Eating the Mediterranean Diet

Following the Mediterranean diet can improve your health and well-being. People living in Mediterranean areas, especially southern Italy and the Greek islands, often live longer and healthier lives. Of course, the fresh air and lifestyle contribute to this as much as the diet.

People consuming Mediterranean dishes generally don't eat processed foods, red meat, and refined breads. And they can have a glass of wine now and then.

The benefits of the Mediterranean diet are many, with the following ones being among the most important:

  • By following a Mediterranean diet, you reduce the consumption of foods that contribute to heart disease. As a result, the diet reduces the risk of stroke.

  • Individuals following this diet typically have a longer lifespan because Mediterranean food lowers the risks of heart attacks and cancer. Estimates suggest that adhering to this diet can reduce the risk of death by 20%, regardless of age.

  • Research suggests that the Mediterranean diet can lower the risk of dementia. This is likely because it improves cholesterol and blood sugar levels and blood vessel health, which together may reduce the likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease or dementia.

  • The Mediterranean diet can aid you in losing weight and maintaining it. This effectiveness is due to its focus on wholesome, fresh foods.

How to Choose the Right Meal Delivery Service for the Mediterranean Diet

  • Focus on traditional Mediterranean ingredients: Look for services that feature Mediterranean-style ingredients such as fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and healthy fats like olive oil. This ensures you enjoy meals that are not only delicious but also aligned with the principles of the Mediterranean diet, promoting heart health and overall well-being.

  • Explore meal variety: Choose a service that offers a diverse menu of traditional Mediterranean dishes from various cultures, such as Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern. This variety allows you to savor different flavors and keeps your meals exciting, making it easier to stick to your dietary goals. Every service on my list offers a good variety of meals that fit the Mediterranean diet.

  • Check customization options: Ensure that the service allows you to customize your meals to fit your tastes and dietary preferences. Being able to tailor meals to your liking means you can fully enjoy the Mediterranean experience while catering to your individual needs.

FAQ

Do experts recommend the Mediterranean diet?

The Mediterranean diet is the #1 expert-recommended diet for those interested in optimizing their health. It supports weight loss and weight maintenance through the intake of lean meats, fresh fruits, and colorful veggies, healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil, and nutrient-dense superfoods like okra and spinach.

One of my favorite meal delivery services for the Mediterranean diet is Green Chef. With a dedicated Mediterranean plan that focuses on veggies and good-for-you fats, the recipes are balanced and exciting, while the ingredients are organic and high quality.

Does HelloFresh have Mediterranean meals?

HelloFresh doesn’t have a specific Mediterranean plan, however, lots of its meals could fit the bill.

The Mediterranean diet isn’t necessarily a set-in-stone regimen, rather, it focuses on certain key ingredients like lean white meats and fish, with a heavy emphasis on fruits, veggies, and healthy fats from quality oils and nuts. With that in mind, lots of HelloFresh’s meals can easily be considered “Mediterranean-influenced”.

Is the Mediterranean diet good for vegetarians and vegans?

Vegetarians can easily follow the Mediterranean diet as it features large quantities of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and healthy grains. Vegans will want to skip (or swap) the cheese, yogurt, and other dairy products and might find it easier with a dedicated plant-based service like Purple Carrot.

What should I look for in a meal delivery service if I want it to be Mediterranean-diet friendly?

Look for menus focused on whole foods like vegetables, lean proteins (especially fish and seafood), whole grains, legumes, and healthy fats like olive oil. These are the core hallmarks of the Mediterranean approach. The top-ranked services often have dedicated Mediterranean plans or plenty of Mediterranean-inspired recipes that emphasize these kinds of ingredients. For example, Green Chef has a dedicated Mediterranean plan with dishes rich in veggies and good fats, alongside other diet-friendly options.

Do Mediterranean meal delivery services offer plans for weight loss or specific health goals?

Several of the Mediterranean-friendly services cater to specific health goals, including weight management. For instance, BistroMD stands out for its Mediterranean weight loss meals that are doctor-designed with no MSG, aspartame, or trans fats, and include support from in-house dietitians. This makes it a good choice if you want both Mediterranean-style eating and structured weight-loss support.
